Welcome Suburban Journal Readers

Published by Al Adomite on April 26th, 2008

A comprehensive article from the Suburban Journal reporter Chris Coates about our new blogging effort:

But for Von Nida, 50, of Granite City, and Adomite, 32, of Troy, their position on opposite ends of the liberal-conservative spectrum is serving as the jumping off point for a new online venture both hope will foster bipartisan spirit and spark discussions about policy and politics in the region. “We really want to take the politics out of policy,” said Adomite, who with Von Nida earlier this month launched “Partisan Discourse,” a blog the creators are optimistic will serve as a kind town square for observers and players of the Madison County political scene.

My brother-in-law, who recently commented about his lack of acknowledgment from mainstream media in Champaign, even gets a mention:

Von Nida, the county clerk for 10 years, said the pair are slowly learning the ropes, with Adomite, who has a blog through the Justice League, leading the pack. (His brother-in-law, Gordy Hulten, runs the conservative state political blog IlliniPundit.)

Thanks to Gordy for helping Mark and I get this up and running.  We could only wish we had his site traffic numbers.

Great idea. Can you change the background to something else besides black? It is difficult to read.
