County Fair Dates Announced

The Post-Dispatch reports the announcement of the dates:

  • Madison County Fair in Highland, July 20-25.
  • Monroe County Fair in Waterloo, July 20-27.
  • St. Clair County Fair in Belleville, Aug. 5-9.

I’ve often wondered if the Madison County Fair, with its non-centric geographic locale, is even a big deal to folks on the other side of the county. Do people in Godfrey go the Jersey County Fair, or do they drive to Highland? I can’t say the Madison County Fair is even a “big” thing in Troy, although it usually conflicts with the Troy Homecoming (which frankly restates my point).
